Students are invited to register for the FRIENDLY TOURNAMENT
On the 28th of November, from 10:00, a tournament called “FRIENDLY TOURNAMENT” will take place at Vytautas Magnus University Sports Center (Studentų str. 11, Akademija, Kaunas district).
Matches:
- Basketball
- Volleyball
- Socially active running (a competition will be held at the „Kamša“ Botanical and Zoological Reserve. The purpose of this match is to draw attention to global climate change).
Rules:
VMU Sports Center is cooperating with NATO in organizing this tournament. Thus, the teams will consist of 3 NATO soldiers and 3 VMU students. The total players number in team will be 6-8. Students sing up for the tournament individually and then randomly team up with NATO representatives.
The winning team will be the one which collected maximum points during the “FRIENDLY TOURNAMENT”. Two points for win, one point for draw and zero points for lose.Basketball rules:
Basketball tournament starts on 10:00 (10 a.m.) and ends on 12:00 (12 p.m.).
One game period – 10 minutes (or until reaching 21 points). Basketball match played on 4×4 format. Played on one half of the court, on one basketball hoop.
Volleyball rules:
Volleyball tournament starts on 12:40 (12:40 p.m.) and ends on 14:30 (2:30 p.m.).
One game period – 10 minutes (or until reaching 21 points). Volleyball played on 6×6 format.
Socially active running rules:
This event is dedicated to the global theme of “Climate Change”. The competition will be held in “Kamša” Botanical and Zoological Reserve. The estimated distance is 4-5 kilometres.
Ceremony of award of the winners will be held on 15:30 (3:30 p.m.).
VMU art collectived will perform during the tournament.
