On Wednesday, Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) footballers lost 2:4 to Vilnius University (VU) in a Lithuanian Student Football League match in Vilnius.
Reinas Batutis put VMU ahead in the 26th minute (1:0), but VU equalized in the 30th minute – 1:1. At the end of the first half, the hosts took the lead (2:1), and in the 49th minute, they increased their lead to 3:1.
Soon after, VMU representative Tautvydas Šiugždinis scored a goal to soften the blow (2:3, 52 min.), but in the 89th minute, VMU goalkeeper Rokas Bagdonavičius scored an own goal, increasing VU’s lead (4:2).
VMU will play its next Lithuanian student football match on Tuesday, October 14, when it will host guests from the Lithuanian Sports University at the VMU President Valdas Adamkus Sports Center.
