The LSKL champions, Vytautas Magnus University (VDU) students, cleared the quarterfinal hurdle without the slightest tension, defeating the visiting Lithuanian Sports University (LSU) team 130:107 (29:23, 29:35, 43:26, 29:23), and by an even greater margin on their home court – 139:86 (36:27, 33:13, 35:26, 35:20).
This game set a new scoring record for the 2025–2026 season.
The VDU team was led to victory by Titas Januševičius, who scored 25 points in 17 minutes (1/1 two-pointers, 7/12 three-pointers, 2/3 free throws, 18 efficiency points), Evaldas Džiaugys added 22 points (7/7 two-pointers, 2/2 three-pointers, 2/3 free throws, 25 efficiency points), Paulius Velutis and Adomas Sidarevičius (18 assists, 40 efficiency points) – 16 points each, Augustinas Mikštas – 13 points, Kajus Leliukas – 12, Jokūbas Rubinas – 11 points.
The LSU team was saved from an even greater defeat by Liucijus Biekša, who scored 33 points in 25 minutes on the court (14/21 two-pointers, 1/1 three-pointers, 2/2 free throws, 7 rebounds, 32 efficiency points). Gustas Virbalis scored 19 points, while the contributions of other LSU players were in single digits.
The VDU team surprised everyone with their accuracy this time, shooting 82% from two-point range (28/34), 49% from three-point range (23/47), and 82% from the free throw line (14/17).
In the semifinals, VDU will face Vilnius University.
