In the URBO-NKL championship, Šakiai Vyčio-VDU (10-4) triumphed in a landslide victory. Erikas Kučiauskas’s team left no hope for Klaipėda Neptūnas-Akvaservis (6-9) at home, winning 92:70 (22:12, 23:17, 20:18, 27:23) and handing them their fourth consecutive defeat.
The hosts set the tone for the game from the very beginning, sprinting to an 11:2 lead and building a double-digit advantage (22:8).
In the second quarter, the Šakiai team successfully defended their lead and added another 9:0 run (45:27), while the second half of the game was just a formality.
For the winners, Gabrielius Čelka scored 13 points (5/7 two-pointers, 3/4 free throws), grabbed 2 rebounds, stole 4 balls, made 2 assists, and generated 19 efficiency points in 26 minutes.
Titas Januševičius was more productive, scoring 14 points in 20 minutes (3/6 two-pointers, 2/3 three-pointers). He also grabbed 3 rebounds, made one assist, and collected 16 efficiency points.
The Vyčio-VDU players were more successful in taking advantage of opportunities from long range. They made 10 of 31 three-pointers (32%), while the port city team made 2 of 16 (13%).
