The VMU team, which crushed the LSU footballers, recorded its first victory in the LSFL championship

On Tuesday evening, Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) footballers defeated Lithuanian Sports University (LSU) students 5:1 in a Lithuanian Student Football League (LSFL) home game held at the VDU President Valdas Adamkus Sports Center.

Gabrielius Marcos Buslys scored in the 24th minute of the first half, putting VMU ahead. However, LSU responded quickly, with Ignas Skamarakas equalizing in the 26th minute with a precise shot.

Halfway through the second half, Vėjas Brazys sent the ball into the goal with an accurate shot, putting VMU ahead again with a score of 2:1 in the 34th minute.

The picture did not change in the second half, and the VMU students, having gained momentum, began to pull away from their opponents. In the 62nd minute, Reinas Batutis scored a goal, then scored again in the 88th minute, and Bogdanas Mickevičius closed the game with another accurate shot on goal in the last minute of regular time.

Currently with 3 points, the VMU team is in third place in the tournament table. The next LSFL league match for the university footballers will take place on October 21, when the VDU team will host Klaipėda University athletes at home.
