The European Power Triathlon Championship was held at VMU Agriculture Academy
On 29th of November – 8th of December The European Power Triathlon junior, youth and adult Championship was held at Vytautas Magnus University Agriculture Academy (second exhibition pavilion). More than 500 athletes from all over Europe took part in the championship.
Ieva Balukonytė, a student of Vytautas Magnus University, also participated in the weight category up to 63 kg (this category is the most popular among the participants). After serious knee injury, the athlete stood up with a 102.5 kg barbell, hit 60 kg and 125 kg when lying down, but that wasn’t enough for the prize. Ieva stayed in 22nd place.
