VMU athletes returned with medals from Lihuanian students’ Sambo Championship
On the 16th of November, The Lithuanian students’ Sambo Championship took place in Vilnius. 8 Lithuanian university teams, Kaunas Technical and Vilnius colleges participated in the championship. A total of 71 athletes (55 guys, 16 girls) appeared in the championship.
Vytautas Magnus University was represented by 3 athletes, who all won medals. Raventa Zeniauskaitė, a student of the Faculty of Law, won a silver medal in the girl’s group up to 59 kg. Domantas Baguckis (98+ kg) student of the faculty of Economics and Management, and Darius Katinas (98 kg), student of the same faculty, won bronze medals in the group of guys in the heaviest weight categories.
