VMU basketball team won their third victory in LSBL championship
On 5th of November, during the first championship match of the season, VMU basketball team coached the league’s newcomers LSU-2 and defeat them with a score of 95:69 (17:18, 25:6, 27:21, 26:24). The first half of the match was a rough fight, but in the second half VMU intensified its defense and attack and went ahead. In the second half of the match, VMU team fought more calmly, but no longer allowed the components to get closer.
VMU team was led by Aldas Gadeika (19 points) and Laurynas Vaištaras (14 points). Julius Liesis, Bartautas Blažauskas and Rokas Ruškys each added 11 points.
On 11th of November, LSBL champions VMU basketball players fought against Klaipeda University (KU). The VMU team coached by Arūnas Juknevičius celebrated the victory after a tense battle that ended with a 4-points margin of 89:85 (24:14, 16:24, 23:19, 26:28).
Vitalijus Kozys (21 points), Rokas Stankevičius (20 points), Erikas Venskus (19 points) and Julius Liesis (12 points) earned the most points at this match.
On 18th of November, VMU basketball team won another victory in the LSBL championship. On the same day, our University athletes returning from the “Euroijada” championship in Berlin with the Cup of Winners, found the strength to play in LSBL and to make another solid victory. This time VMU basketball team defeated Kaunas College (KC) team with a result 112:82 (28:16, 34:19, 22:29, 28:18).
Rokas Stankevičius (28 points) and Laurynas Vaištaras (24 points) earned the most points in this match.
