VMU rowers won first place in Lithuanian Student Winter Championship
On 7st of December, Lithuanian Rowing Federation Winter Indoor Rowing Championship was held at Trakai Rowing Base, where athletes from 4 higher schools competed (parallel netting principle).
After summing up students’ results students of Vytautas Magnus University won first place in the team classification. Vilnius University team came second and Lithuanian Sports University third.
VMU students in the men’s championship group won all prizes. Fastest in the 2000 m distance was Dovydas Nemeravičius (5:55, 7). The silver medal went to VMU Agriculture Academy fourth-year student Povilas Stankūnas (6:02, 9). Third place went to VMU student Giedrius Bieliauskas (06:13, 05).
