We invite you to participate in the competition for the design of a representative sports logo for the VMU Sports Centre
Vytautas Magnus University Sports Centre announces a competition and invites you to create an idea for a logo of the VMU Sports Centre for representative sports (team and individual sports). The unified style of the VMU teams consolidates the identity of the university teams, strengthens its recognisability and creates an emotional bond within the university community.
The competition is intended for the Vytautas Magnus University community, but it is also open to all persons interested in the university and sports, from schoolchildren to seniors, who can professionally submit a logo idea, conveying the conditions for the creation of the logo idea.
There is no limit to the number of proposals per author or group of authors. The author(s) of the best idea will be awarded valuable prizes and official Vytautas Magnus University merchandise. The logo idea of the winner(s) will be presented to the university community, and later, based on it, the final logo will be created, which will be permanently visible in the VMU sports teams’ uniforms, image clips, advertisements, social networks, sports centre space locations, etc.
Evaluation criteria:
- Creativity and originality of the idea;
- Completeness and integrity of the idea;
- Conveyance of the themes related to VMU and sport.
Information for participants:
- The logo should reflect and be visually linked to the abbreviation – VDU (Vytautas Magnus University).
- The logo must be consistent with the University’s style and the rules of its formation as presented in the Vytautas Magnus University corporate style book.
- The logo must have a link to the university, its logo and sport.
- The main colour of the logo is cherry (#8B1A4A, according to the VMU corporate style book)
Presentation of the logo idea:
- Sketch – electronic format: .png, .jpg, .bmp.
- Short description of the logo idea.
You can submit your ideas to sporto.centras@vdu.lt until February 28th (inclusive). The email must include the name of the author(s), the link to the university (student, lecturer, pupil, etc.), telephone number, email address, and a brief description of the logo idea in the formats indicated.
